Discover TransGull’s New AI Simultaneous Interpreter!

We’re excited to introduce a brand-new feature: Simultaneous Interpretation!

With this feature, TransGull continuously recognizes speech and translates it in real-time. Just put on your headphones and hear the translated content directly in your ears — it’s like having a personal interpreter for classes, lectures, or live streams. This feature currently supports English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, French, Spanish, Russian, Korean, Vietnamese, German, Thai and Italian.

In theory, both parties could use TransGull, each wearing headphones to carry on a continuous conversation in their own language. However, we haven’t tested this use case yet — if you’re willing to help us test it out, that would be amazing! We look forward to your feedback!

This is a paid feature that uses Shells, a type of service credit consumed while using the simultaneous interpretation feature. You can receive free Shells upon registration, and also earn more Shells each month through the sign-in rewards. Since translation isn’t always a frequent need, we opted for a pay-as-you-go model instead of a monthly subscription, offering more flexibility by allowing you to only pay for what you use. Shells never expire, so you can recharge as needed.

Why are these service credits called Shells?

Because carbon-based gulls eat clams, and silicon-based gulls eat Shells. 😂
