Phone Call Translation
Phone Call Translation consumes two types of translation credits: the two-way interpretation fee and the phone line fee. Before starting a call, the system estimates the translation credits required for a 10-minute call. If the balance is insufficient, the call cannot start. The final charge is based on the translation duration after the call is actually connected and the phone line fee.
| Fee Type | Billing Rules | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Two-way interpretation fee | Same as regular two-way interpretation. Billing starts after the call is connected, at 900 translation credits per hour. The minimum billing unit is 4 seconds, which means 1 translation credit is consumed every 4 seconds. Any duration under 4 seconds is rounded up to 4 seconds. | No translation service fee is charged before the call is connected. |
| Phone line fee | Calculated based on the calling number, the destination country or region, the line rate, and the actual call duration. This fee is determined by the carrier and deducted according to the actual telephony cost. | Line fees may differ by country, region, and number type. |
TransGull Personal includes two types of translation credits.
Fries: Translation credits included in subscription benefits. Fries and Shells have exactly the same value when used for paid translation features. Fries reset automatically every month according to your subscription benefits, and unused Fries do not carry over.
Shells: Translation credits purchased separately. Shells can be used for all supported paid translation features. Shells balance does not expire and remains valid long term.
Notes:
- Dialog Translation, Image Translation, and Selection Translation share a common free quota, which resets at 0:00 UTC daily
- When using Dialog Translation, Image Translation, or Selection Translation beyond the free quota, the minimum billing unit is 350 characters per message, per image, or per selected content. For each message, image, or selection, 1 translation credit is consumed for every 350 characters. Any portion under 350 characters is still charged as 350 characters. If the source text of a single message, image, or selection contains fewer than 350 characters, 1 translation credit will be deducted. (Character count is based on the original text to be translated)
- Once simultaneous interpretation voice recognition is activated, billing continues even if no speech is detected. Please remember to pause interpretation when not speaking.
- Actual translation quality is influenced by multiple factors including voice environment and network conditions. Translation Seagull is committed to continuously improving its technical capabilities to provide you with the best translation service.
- Video translation function will deduct translation credits after starting the translation task. If the translation fails, the translation credits will be refunded.
- In translation credits spending history, the spending records for the same phone call may appear separately as “Phone call translation - Translation fee” and “Phone call translation - Phone fee”. The total cost of the same call is the sum of both items.
